Gratefullness

Gratefulness is a feeling of appreciation and thankfulness. It is a sincere, warm feeling of gratitude towards kindness and benefits received. Like anyone else, I have so much things in life that I'm grateful for and I would like to share a fraction of it.

Most importantly, I'm grateful for my existence in this world, that God has created me and given me a good life. I'm grateful for the faith of God and the good health I have that I could work to earn a living.

I'm grateful for being blessed with a wonderful family that I could live life with a smile in a simple house.

I'm also grateful for my parents. They brought me up with great values, morals and education. They showered me with love and care.

Although there are times in life that I went through difficult situations, I noticed that there were always feelings of gratefulness awaiting for me in the end. The feeling of gratefulness for the experiences that made me a stronger and better person to face the future.

I'm also grateful for my blog. This is the place that I could vent out and get something off my chest. More importantly, this is the place where I met a couple of wonderful people who became my friends, and I'm grateful for having them as my friends. Due to my tight schedules at work, I don't blog often, but my friends are always here to inspire me with their nice words that I'm still here writing. They spend their valuable time to visit this place although "A Little Time" is just a dull and simple blog.

In our daily lives, we must see "that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but the gratefulness that makes us happy." — Albert Clarke.

I wrote this post in response to a tag passed on to me by my friend, Eartlingorgeous from "My Happiness Haven". This meme was created by Mel at "Are You Grateful?" and everyone is invited to share their "Statement of Gratitude". Everyone has something to be grateful for and if you're reading this post, I would like to invite you to participate. Please visit Mel's blog to find out more.

  3. :) 24 hours is actually a lot of time, it's just that we always want to do so much that it seems a little time...

I'm glad you took time to list down what you are grateful for just by doing so you notice the good things rather than the bad.

    Nice post Zunnur :)

  4. Earthlingorgeous,

I absolutely agree with you. 24 hours is actually a lot especially for those who always feel that they've got nothing to do to pass time :)

Yeah, we tend to complain more rather than counting the blessings.

  5. Hey Zunnur, I loved this article. Being grateful to the wonderful things happening in our lives is easy but when things are rough and life is not going the way we envisioned it to be it is sometimes hard.

You certainly have been brought up well and is very lucky to have such loving and caring parents and family.

I couldn't agree more with this verse - "that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but the gratefulness that makes us happy."

    God bless you always.

  6. Sophiagurl,

It is easy to feel grateful when life is going smoothly and everything is fine but when we hit life's bumps, we tend to worry much about it that we loose and forget the gratefullness we had for other things in life.

    Thank you very much, Sophiagurl.

  7. Makes me remember the times my husband get irritated with impatient drivers who do not slow down in intersections. I just remind him to be grateful that he has the patience to do what's right and prevent accidents.

We really have a lot to be grateful for. Sometimes we just take our blessings for granted.

Nice to see you're active again zunnur. :)

  9. Eagerblogger,

I hope that the unscrupulous drivers will learn to be grateful for the patience that the other drivers have. Without the patience, there would be road fights everywhere.

Nice to see you too :)

    Mariuca,

Looks like the Master Sergeant got a time off from her duty to visit me :)
